As a VerifiedHuman™, I agree to the following standard: I represent my vocal work to be my intellectual property, essentially vocalized by a human, and not by generative AI. I do not consent for my work and demos to be used as training for generative AI or to be uploaded onto any AI voice platforms, especially without my knowledge. I also refuse to use generative AI in any aspect of my business, including imagery and text elements.

While a few companies have chosen what first appears to be the “easy” route and pivoted to using “AI”-generated voices in their business practices, I stand firm in my belief that nothing can replace the connection that comes from a real, human voice. This belief has been confirmed time and again by clients who continue to return to using real voice actors after their foray into AI proved to be more time-consuming (requiring multiple attempts to rewrite a prompt in order to alter tone and pronunciation vs. a single directed session with a human voice actor who is experienced in incorporating direction for a flawless result the first time around), and expensive when factoring in the time cost of reworking AI versions and the cost of having to pay a second time when inevitably returning to a human for the final product.

Despite the advances this technology has made, there is an undeniable “uncanny valley” quality to AI voices, simply due to the fact that it has no inherent ability to find the nuance in various texts.

I encourage you to support the industry of artists who have dedicated their lives and careers to bringing you quality work that will connect with your audience and help your business thrive.
